What is your dream location to photograph? Why?

My dream location to photograph would be Sicily, Italy. I lived there in 6th and 7th grade, but I hadn't discovered my love for photography yet, and so I did not take photographs like I should have. It would be wonderful to go back and capture the worn faces and clouds of smoke, the shops crammed on top of each other within small cities and beyond that a wide landscape of rolling hills and vineyards. The most interesting cities to photograph would've been the bustling cramped streets of Catania with it's fish markets, tchotchke shops, and uneven cobblestone streets. The people hear seem to be going through time nonchalantly in slow motion, as if they seem to enjoy their rustic lives more than someone in more cosmopolitan cities. Additionally, even smaller cities like Motta San Anastasia would have been such an amazing place to photograph because each building is shoved on top or beside another, with the entire city on a steep incline. Each structure, from kabob shops to your local grocer to toy stores seems well-loved and worn, making the entire city seem ancient. And yet people are on every corner, biking and driving, lighting fireworks or taking a smoke break. If I had a chance to travel anywhere in the world for the sole purpose of taking photographs, I would go to Sicily. I would go all over it, traveling to cities over great expanses of open land, each providing different artistic opportunity.

This is a picture my art teacher (Matt McKown) in Sicily took in Sicily
