Favorite Holiday Memory

I think my favorite holiday would be a toss up between Thanksgiving and Christmas. On the one hand, I go to a friends house in Annapolis for Thanksgiving, with great foods and amazing people. It often ends in abundant laughter and memories, including the occasional Nerf gun war. However, recently Christmas has been especially memorable, with my cousins having come every Christmas for the past three years. Once we moved here it was easier for them to visit, and I love having them around. We spend the half of the holiday showing them around DC, seeing places that we haven't seen either, and the other half is spent goofing off by the fireplace and Christmas tree, playing board games or watching movies. Photography plays a major role in my holidays because I love taking pictures of people in the moment. Then the picture not only commemorates the holiday and the people who were there, but also the feeling of the holiday. The picture below is one of my favorites from last Christmas. It was our first Christmas with our dog scout, and I love that he's curled up in between my cousins Caleb (left) and Noah (right). I think the overall photo just feels cozy, like a warm home on the holidays. It's a bit edited because I almost immediately uploaded it to my VSCO, I loved it so much. To me everyone being snuggled up under blankets with the sweet puppy in the warm house with presents propped up under the Christmas tree that lights the scene, paints the perfect picture of Christmas. This photo is definitely one of my favorite holiday photos, if not my absolute favorite photo.
